King Aphrodite was the wildcat King of Diadem and Mossflower. He was the father of Alrescha Gingertail, but did not have the title of "Gingertail" in his name. He was fond of Thorntail, and forced Alrescha to mate him. He was a kind king, the exact opposite of his daughter.
When he was young, he played on the line of being evil, and killed Stonefall's daughter, Leah. He later apologized, and proved it by saving Stonefall's life once. After that, Aphrodite began to hate Holt Lightflames.
Later, in order to become ruler, Alrescha killed Aphrodite. Menkar stood up for him in the cavern under Kitalpha before Rigel and Hollyfire arrived, but he only got injured more severly.
Somehow, Rigel also knew of Aphrodite's death, and used it against Alrescha, calling her a murderer and a liar for killing her father.
