A zweihander (pronounced Zvai-hander) is a German blade. The name means "two-handed" and could reach up to six feet long.
In fanfiction, Thornclaw Braveheart wields a zweihander. It had been forged by Lord Silverstripe of Salamandastron for Colonel Wenzel Bramblestar Lavender, Blademaster of the Long Patrol, and after he was killed by Dirz the Maul, Thornclaw took the sword and cut Dirz in half.
